I am looking for a small midi controller to assign a few buttons like FXs, Samples, etc. I was thinking of Korg NanoPad which fits perfectly to my needs and the price is low. But since my gear is 19" rackmount, i was wondering if there is any similar product in 1U size, to fit to my rackmount set. I was searching the net and i found nothing similar, so i might go for the NanoPad. Any ideas?
Thanks

I would give a good look and the DMC2 from Numark. I know it is bigger than 1U but it is a solid midi controller. Or, the 4500 from Dennon, but that is a little pricey for some users.

I Do have the DMC2, but i need a second smaller controller for the Fxs and the samples. I don't like the idea to use them with the DMC2 because i need more time and attention not to make a mistake with all these combinations.
Thanks anyway

You could replace your mixer and Dac with this....
The American Audio DP2

I have been a beta unit since christmas. It works really well. Built in controller, mixer, effects controls (including parameter knobs), sound card. Any questions feel free to ask.

I surely trust American Audio, but i need to wait for some feedback before i sell my DMC2 which i'm very satisfied with.
It seems a very good all in one solution. Is it available in the market?

I tried to find a high resolution image, or a video on youtube, but nothing. I don't see a Sync button, which one did you assign? How do you change browser windows (folders, files, playlists). Did you create a mapper for the latest VirtualDj ver? Did you manage to control leds also?
I can find this one in Europe for 250 euros. It's a good price i guess.
EDIT.. I found this one. It seems pretty. http://www.semtek.de/xtc/images/product_images/original_images/9548_0_127003.jpg

I was going to put together some youtube vids, but have not had the time yet......
I did not assign a sync button, since if you use that then touch a pitch fader that's not set completely in sync with the software will make the pitch control change in extreme fashion.
Clicking on the track select knob (it pushes down) changes browser windows.
I have not had the time to create a mapper for VDJ 6 yet, but when I do, I think I'm going to try and map it as a HID device, so I can get the LED's to function correctly.
I am unaware of street pricing, as I said I received it a few months ago to work on the beta. The software (digital producer) that comes packaged with the controller works with all LED's, but it's no VDJ ;)
