Arizona lawmakers approve bill allowing guns in bars:
PHOENIX (AP) - The Arizona Senate has approved a bill to allow people with concealed weapons permits to carry a gun into a business that serves alcohol. It would require bar and restaurant owners who want to ban weapons to post a sign next to their liquor license.

While I agree with Renee' and drinking & guns is a bad idea. I also believe in private ownership of firearms. This past weekend in Chicago, concealed carry is banned in Chicago, was one of the bloodiest in decades. All committed with illegally obtained firearms. Most states, like Texas, with concealed carry have lower crime rates. It is our sovereign right to own firearms. Protected by the second amendment of our constitution. It was written with one thought in mind. An armed public will never fall into slavery, or be controlled by the government. Personally, I currently do not own any firearms. That is my choice, I have young children living with me I do not wish to risk any accidents. However, I do not want any government telling me I cannot purchase one if I am a responsible, law abiding citizen. I have owned pistols in the past, and plan to own them again in the future, the very near future. I never carried my firearms into an establishment that serves alcohol, but have worked many a club where the owners, and door staff, were all packing. We had a lot fewer problems in those clubs, truth be told.....

Getting shot by some crazed gunmen scares me even more from reports from the states, soI am happy that guns are illeagle in the Uk and therefore lesson the reason for the Police to carry them fulltime.

man, why do americans elect the dumbest rednecks to be goverment members???? no wonder americans have been branded idiots since the dawn or time..... guns in bars is just asking for trouble. i mean cmon how many of you would pull your gun out if a drunken ass came over and started giving you the verbals. after 10 pints and a few shooters everyone in the bar is gonna be blasting.
here in the uk i was once caught with an air weapon, which i know isnt a real gun in a way but over here that sort of thing is taken very seriously. i was given a £2000 fine and a comunity rehabillitation order for 2 years. just for carrying the dam thing... and theres the redneck/ hillbilly yokels going and legalising carrying REAL firearms that kill people.
sheesh no wonder society sucks.
