I created a new user profile on my laptop and tried to install VDJ there but I keep getting the "installation error" after inserting my serial number. I went in to msconfig and disabled nod32 before doing the install and removed VDJ from the other profile. Originally i tried to copy the shortcut from the other desktop but that actually gave me the same error. i tried uninstalling and reinstalling but same error. Any help would be appreciated.

try using a final uninstaller of registry cleaner..then re install.. chances are there is a registry key that is causing the error. clear out the previous installations completley before trying to reinstall.
if there is aregistry entry from a failed installation or maybe even a .tmp file then there is a good chance thats what it is..
on that note clean out your temp folders too.

The problem is due to NOD32 which prevents VirtualDJ from installing itself correctly.

why would people use an antivirus that blocks the installation of softwares???? to me it seems like a pointless activity to use an antivirus that cant recognise a legit installation process. get yourselves AVIRA it works so much better.

I did what the "non licensed user" suggested and it installed fine after that.
Cstoll... I already said in my 1st post that I turned off nod32 before installing. I knew this from a past installation, that's why I mentioned it in my 1st post that is was off.
"non licensed user", I use nod32 on my lappy because every other anti-virus I tried over the years slowed down my computer too much. I have been using Nod32 for a long time and you wouldn't know it's running in the background at all.
Thanks for everyones help.

Never mind Bluelite. lol. What registry cleaner do you recommend to use BlueLite ? there are a lot on the net and I don't want to just get some random one.

the registy tweak utility on the vdj downloads pages can be used to remove all the registry keys for vdj.
you need to log into windows using the old name, and run the utility.

Did everything you mentioned. Got Avira and Zone Alarm - everything off. InernetConnection is alive.
Deinstalled VDJ, Made a Registry Cleanup with the tool from the download-page, reinstalled it and again there was the error. Any help? Opened a help-ticket here - but cant believe this is happening. Tonight i got a gig - thats a real problem :( :( :(
