Topic: Will Serato scanning interfere with my VDJ Database?

Dieses Thema ist veraltet und kann veraltete oder falsche Informationen enthalten.

As most of you know I have been using VDJ for about 5 years now. I LOVE this program and use it faithfully.

My issue is that 2 of the clubs that I spin in have a serato set up and it would make my life easier to use serato at these spots. I have serato and VDJ on this laptop but I don't own the hardware (Serato box). The clubs have the box. I have the drivers for the serato box on my laptop.

My question is this...

If I scan all my music with Serato, will it interfere with my VDJ Database? I have worked too hard and long to have my database changed by another program.

any suggestions?

I have been running both programs and haven't had an issue yet.

It will not interfere with VDJ's database. ScratchLive writes all it's tags directly to the file(audio).

LOL... You don't have to explain to anyone, your love for vdj. There is nothing wrong with using serato :) Just consider yourself versatile, to have knowledge of both software's.
Like others already mentioned, serato wont mess with your vdj database.

+1 XGL_DJ!! I always say that to people, versatility is key. Don't be left behind, learn everything possible in life. The day you feel you've learned it all and can't be taught anything else is the best day to die!
