Have you installed the very latest drivers for the RMX yet?

just bought the RMX Controller it came with software loaded it and then upgrated to VDJ - 6. I now have it working on VISTA are there newer drivers for the VDJ 6 / could that be the problem? Everything seems to be working EXCELLENT on the RMX, it sounds great but every song seems to have a split second audio drop about 25 seconds in and then through the song.
Have some big shows coming up really need to get the sound in place.
Thanks For The Help

Thanks, I'll try it and let you know what happens.

I'll await your results ;)

Thanks, the update from Hercules helped, I also increased the ram to 2048. I'm very impressed with this new version of VDJ, I'd like it to be running it's best. My latency is on auto in VDJ should I change it, how might that help?
Thanks so much for your help!!

VirtualDJ config>Performance tab, set

Preset slider to "Fastest" Latency on Auto and uncheck Safe Mode and Overclocked.

You should be good to go with that

P.S.

Disable your WIFI/Bluetooth adapter in Device Manager. It's a known cause of Audio drop outs.

Thanks Again, I'll give it a try. In the performance screen I see a tab next to latency which gives me the option to select auto or one of the bits 32 - 64 etc, above that is the slider for fastest or best quality. I will adjust the slider to fastest, should I leave the other tab on auto?
I'll also disable the bluetooth and wi-fi.
I am very impressed with this version of VDJ, hopefully I can straighten out this audio problem, I appreciate the support!!!

PS Jimmy B Are you from New England, USA

Is the buffer easy to adjust, that's what it sounds like to me Jim, I've also notice that the songs seem to take a long time to load. The last version was alot quicker, I have a double gig on Friday and hope everything works well? I'll do all the stuff you've guy's told me so far, my last version was perfect, used a MK-2, hp laptop 1024ram with an AMD 64. The VDJ program was 5.0 pro I beleave, the version before this one, did Weddings, Schools, Karaoke and some very important events. I can see alot of Nice improvements with the new version do you think I can get it to run as smooth as my other version?

PS Jimmy, my niece is living in Manchester, thanks again for your help!!
Are you one of the Tech's and did you help write this program?

No mate, I don't have a clue about programming and I would no where to start either. I just find I pick things up easy if I mess around with stuff. For me it's the best way to learn.

The ASIO Buffer is easy to change. Once your RMX is connect and before you open VirtualDJ up. Open the RMX control panel (DJ Icon near on Tool bar)

Go to the ASIO tab, click on the ASIO dot if the settings are shaded. The last option is ASIO BUFFER SIZE. Click on the drop down and choose the next sample rate down from the one you have been using. If that doesn't get rid of your audio pops then keep changing it till it does.

As for your slow loading try doing a Disk clean up and defrag on all your drive's before you gig. This will certainly help your systems performance, and may speed up loading times. Also could you put your RMX serial number (found on the software CD sleeve) in the "Modify my profile" and you will get the RMX icon under your forum name.

Hope all this helps mate.

Thanks Jimmy, I'll work on getting rid of that pop with your help. Have a bunch of Gig's this weekend and will get back to you on Monday with an update.
Thanks again, you've been very helpful

Hi Jimmy,
Had major problem and late start to show, when I opened ASIO I clicked to next buffer setting during first show. It seemed a little better, then for the second show, after openning ASIO noticed it was on the WMA side (what is the differance) so I changed it back to ASIO and then went one or two more on the buffer and then in advanced settings it had an X for the bottom choice but I use a MIC and selected channels 1 & 2 w/Mic. That was when my problems started VDJ partially opened and a error for ASIO drivers came up and could get controller to operate. I restarted and then finally shut off unpluged for a minute and was able to function but the skip is worst? AOl seems to Exc everytime I open VDJ, I've changed the settings in VDJ but it still keeps openning.

ps both times I changed settings before openning VDJ

you are having problems with the soundcard and the operating system not cooperating with each other

do all of the following ......

turn off windows firewall

set your power options profile to " always on" and then set all the options below that to "never"

in device manager diasable wifi , bluetooth

set screensaver to none

defragment all your drives esp the C: and the drive with yer music , which if you 're smart is an external drive

check in task manager to see how many background processes you have running , you want to be below 50 , and you can get much lower than that this is done by turning off these unneeded items.........

make sure you are set to asio

Guys Thanks abunch, I tried a few differant thinks, 1 went into device man, disabled DVD CD rom drive, Disabbled as many wi-fi and wireless cards I could find. had a bad crash during gig but while VDJ was playing it sounded better some loads where quicker also.
I uninstalled all the AOL and diabled all updates and will look at that video card setting. also defraging everything right now.
Hope to resolve theses problem and get back to enjoying my smooth VDJ!!! I can see all the improvements but need to start sounding perfect again

ps what happened to night after crash when restarting VDJ would come to boot screen stop and a error ASIO box then it woud freeze.
I'd have to shut down and then start again, restart wasn't helping

ps I will try to put all your help to work and let you know my progress, along with what seems to be happening.

Thanks for taking your time to help me, my VDJ 5 & MK 2 with my HP laptop never had any problems, besides my first Dennon and my Pioneer 500G's I thougt this was the best on the market, when it's running smooth it's nice

Today was a turn around, that checked box in set-up might have been the direct problem and disabling all them devices really helped.

Thanks so much for helping!!!

Little off subject but would anybody know the best way to get my karaoke CD-g discs onto a hard drive? Haven't had any luck with any programs.

Audiograbber

my problem is with the graffics, will that program load the whole file so I can get the words on the screen. If I put a disc in the computer it doesn't seem to see the words
