Topic: Getting a Mac, will my current hardward work?

Dieses Thema ist veraltet und kann veraltete oder falsche Informationen enthalten.

Hi All,

I am getting myself a MAC, wanted to check my current hardware will work on VDJ on a MAC.

I have a Vestax VCI-100
Western Digital External Hard Drive (FAT32)
Numark DJ:IO Sound Card.

Just wanted to check if i can expect any problems with the apple with this hardware
.

Thanks for the help, Chris

I know the soundcard will definitely work with the macbook because thats the same card im using. As far as the external hd im not sure because I had alot of issues with my seagate when I switched over to mac. I was only able to read the external hd but I couldn't write to it. But definitely a great choice with switching to Mac. Good Luck

Thanks for the info, its being delivered today so fingers crossed!

Chris

Maybe there is no need to do this but personally, all my hard-drives i re-format over to 'Mac OS Extended (Journaled).

If you intend on using it with another pc then dont but if you a pure mac like myself i keep everything the same, works flawlessly then. It will read Fat 32 no problem at all but i feel more comfortable with the mac side.

Also if you are new to mac, maybe you should think about planning everything in iTunes, i.e playlists etc.

thats just me anyway :)
