Hey everyone. Wondering if anyone knows:
Net Search in VDJ6 works great, except when I get my internet connection via my iphone. The internet tethering works great for everything except VDJ Net Search for some reason.
When I log in to Net Search in Config I get "Not Connected"
Anyone know what the problem is?
My connection is good. In fact, I am writing this using the internet connection through my iPhone using a 3G network.

Maybe VDJ only connects to a local wire network and not to any default network like your dialup.

I have bluetooth, and a Nokia N Series phone.
The software that nokia give you has the option of connecting to the internet (PC to Mobile internet)
ive never had an issue browsing netsearch, but if im not in a 3g or 3.5g area, i'll have no chance of downloading any tracks. slow internet speed)
It may be that your iPhone is in a slow speed area. check your documentation to see how to check for this.

Your mobile operator could also be blocking the ports needed by netsearch. This is a common problem.

Hmmm.. good thought. dnt think that's it tho. If i connect iPhone through my wireless router at home, and try internet tethering for netsearch, same problem.

are you sure the iPhone allows tethering...
Can you surf the net on your PC when tethered to the iPhone?
I know operators chanrge more for this service as the amount of data that can be consumed on a PC is far higher than a mobile. The "unlimited" package you probably get with the iPhone is only for data sent/received on the iPhone.
T-Mobile charge me £12 per month when I want a tethered connection via my mobile. Luckily most venues I work at give me access to their WiFi if its not free already ;-)

I have browsed the internet while tethering with the Iphone and it works fine. Have not tried it with VDJ though.
