so i have a prgame thats called Game Booster it shuts off all sofewares that you dont need running in the back round
when you switch Game Booster to game mode .
i get a few more fps in my games :).
so i tried this with vdj and my time code problem was gone
give it a try at download.com
when your done with Game Booster you can set everthing back to how it was by hiting the back to normal mode

Good news as I just got the call that my TC Vinyl order came in. Can't wait to try them out with my RMX to see how they work out.

It's less than suprising that it fixed your timecode-issues.
It's very typical that OEM-Windows installation come bundled with a huge amount of useless crap-software. Also, thanks to the profoundly flawd and insecure design architecture most Windows-installations have a large number of security software running on the background. All this reduces the horse power of the computer and potentially inflicts with timing-critical processes like timecodes.
Generally it's a good idea to format the crap-bundled OEM-Windows installation that comes with the computer, install Windows from scratch using a standard installation disc and install only those software and drivers you actually need.

...and then to tweak the hell out of the machine by disabling unneeded devices, services and so on. The amount of crap some people have running is amazing.

so how did game booster work for you guys?
geposted Thu 08 Oct 09 @ 6:46 pm
I been using it since 1.1 and it's getting better....and it's FREEEEEEE
1 click does it all.
Adding services to be off is way too helpful.

Just a warning to everyone!!!
I have never had a problem with VDJ 6.0.2. since it's release. I tried the 'Game Booster' program at my residency tonight. After 4 hours, with a full dancefloor, the interface froze and the first sample in the sample bank started playing very loudly, which happened to be the default siren. I had to manually stop it and also load and play another video in the other player cutting off the one that froze. 3 minutes later the siren started again by itself, I had to stop it with the mouse. Luckily I was in my last 15 minutes of my gig, if not, I would of been concerned about continuing without a reset.
Also, the volume of the video playing increased so much I had to manually turn it down on my RMX, the next video was OK for volume.
I can normally run with my wireless enabled and record video and sound output to a file whilst gigging without any problems. Just thought I'd give this program a try, gonna ditch it now.
Don't know for sure if it was this program, but, it's the only thing thats been changed for months.

I found this too... Much smoother wave form...
Have also noticed that you don't have to com out of "Game Mode" if you're just powering down as all services restart on reboot.
Maybe we shold get IOBit.com to do a re-badged version called "DJ Booster" ... LOL
