I've been using the maya 44 for ages now, and it's great but occasionally I have to unplug and re-plug it in to make it work. I'm a bit worried it might be on its last legs. Also, I've heard great things about the Audio 8 and the Audio 4 soundcards. So is the audio 2 just as good.
All I need is an output for deck A and an output for deck B. Simples.
So is anybody actually using the audio 2 and are there any problems with it? Or perhaps any other suggestions, because 3 line outs would be even better than just 2, if I can find a good value for money soundcard.
Thanks

Hey Andy,
i own and use a audio2dj, when i have a small setup.
>Notebook + ext.Harddrive
>MidiControler
>Audio2DJ
>Headphones
Thats it!
Plug the Soundcard to the notebook, Output A to the PA and Plug into Output B the headphones.
And you are ready to rock.
Sure, you can also plug Output A to Mixer Input1 and Output B to Input2 ;-)
This card is verry small and have no weight, it is good, but also bad.
If you use it with headphones pluged in, it shakes with you around.
So have an eye where to place and use it with enough cable ;-)
As far i can see, the sound is the same then his greater brothers.
So if you are serching for a small card, with no inputs, two outputs, great sound and low cost.
Then is the audio2dj great.
It's up to you, what you want to do.
If you have in your mind to enlarge your setup, a soundcards with more Input/Outsputs is necessary.
See you

Well that pretty much decides it then! Eventually I'm thinking a firewire or usb mixer with sound card built in, but that's out of reach now, so great sound is all I'm looking for.
Unless anybody has any negative experiences with the audio 2?

Audio 2 has the same specs of the other 2. However, I recommend you to go for Audio 4 if you got only USB port available on your computer. If you got FireWire port, then buy a Echo AudioFire 4 (or 2 if you want the equivalent of NI Audio 2). This was the best by far audio sound card I found. 200% recommend it.

Good Luck!

Interesting!
I read the forums quite a lot and don't don't remember hearing about that card before!
I've got firewire on my main laptop and my backup so i'll have a proper look into it.
Thanks!

I have to said... Maybe I'm the first speaking about this Echo AudioFire4 sound card (I first test it 3 months ago), but believe me, it could be heard by ear the difference between this sound card and NI Audio 4. If you compare this Echo AudioFire with, let's say a Maya 44 USB or a Denon HC-4500 sound cards, it is like you compare your motherboard sound card with an M-Audio sound card. It is that noticeable the sound quality difference.
You will be greatly surprise, I'm pretty sure about it.
