I think you may need to do a find and replace on your database file - make sure to back it up first. In XP your music folder is "C:\Documents and Settings\Username\My Documents\My Music" but in Vista it is "C:\Users\Username\Music".
Maybe one day the database can take a second place position to NTFS alternative data streams - seeing as Virtual DJ will not write tags to files, it can utilise this useful feature to tie information generated during an analyse (including cached wav graph) doing away with such compatibility problems.
Beautiful dog in your picture by the way ;)

Yes they do need to be the same. Was your music in your "My Music" folder under XP, and you've now copied it to your "My Music" folder in Vista? If so, you need to open your database into a text editor and do a find and replace so that the old location is updated with the new location. Make sure to make a backup of your database first incase you make any mistakes.

Open your VirtualDJ Database v6.xml file in Notepad. Each song will have an entry similar to <Song FilePath="C:\Documents and Settings\Username\My Documents\My Music\My Track.mp3" FileSize="2482241">. To update this, click on Edit and then Replace.
You need to find Documents and Settings\Username\My Documents\My Music
with Users\Username\Music
Where Username is whatever your computer login account name is.

Yes but that's why you use the find and replace option. Click replace all and it will do it for every entry very quickly :)
