Anybody know if the hercules MP3e2 will be compatible with virtual dj 5?

The MP3 e2 is natively supported starting with VDJ 6.02. If you wan to use V5, you will need to make your own MIDI mapping.

You mean the MP3 e2 Edition or the Trial?
Anyhow!
Are you declared as ADMIN on your Vista Home Edition?
Maybe it is also needed to deactivate AntiVirus or the Vista
Try to deactive the User Account Control for the install.
After that you can activate it again ;-)

Yes mate. Word on the street is there are issues with Vista 32bit detecting the hercules consoles for whatever reason. I'm having a similar problem methinks where the little hercules taskbar thing shows me a red X despite my drivers being installed and my device plugged properly. How many ways are there to really plug in a cable?
Anyways, Iv contacted hercules about it and I'm awaiting a reply, hopefully I'll have more luck than you on the response. The only solution iv heard of so far is to upgrade our vista to a 64 bit. Apparently that solves everything.
If your anything like me you'll give that long ass process a miss though. Its not about changing your entire OS for the sake of a 10x10 plastic box. I strive to win this one.
Alas, ill get back to you if something comes up.

You can't always believe what you hear on the street. If there is a problem or corruption on our system, going from 32 to 64 Bit operations system will not make a difference indeed...
Which console do you have Hakass ?
Did you install the latest drivers instead of the one on the CD ?

Word on the street hasnt let me down in years my man. But yeah, iv done all that installation of the most recent drivers and plugging it in ONLY when it tells you to and unistalling and reinstalling randomly and whatever else that needs doing.
Im just trying to install "as admin" right now. At least thats what Hercules helpline has told me to do. Crazy Greek Gods eh?
Dont tink it will work tho. I honestly havnt a clue as what to do.
And btw, that 'upgrade to 64bit' tactic is apparently tried and tested. Its abit ridiculous but it works. Like i said, I wont give in that easily

Oh, and my console is a standard Hercules Mp3 Console. The original one that doesnt let you use a headphone. Bad times
Its gonna be one of those situations where they've stopped updating the drivers for this particular model isnt it? Bad times again

try plugging in a miscellaneous thumb drive in the adjacent usb port if your pc has more than one, then reloading the software, this worked for me on my laptop running vista 32 bit when it didn't load any other way.
