Is this Dongle locked to macs only?
If so seems a little strange as this would be handy as hell to video DJ's such as myself. to be able to simply hook this up and choose my video output, DVI, DVI to VGA converstion, or Using this Dongle Compostie or Svid.
This is a neat product.

I can't think of a hardware reason why it wouldn't work, so long as your DVI port supports DVI-I (which is the analogue signal). The following cable should achieve the same thing and has hi-def outputs too:
