Though I have an uninstalled copy of 6.0, I'm currently using V5.2.1 and in a 'holding pattern' till someone smarter than I comes up with a fix for DAC2's jog wheel. At which time, I'll gladly try out the new 6.0
My question: Can a multi-instance in V5.0 be independantly configured for different sound cards? I use an Allen Heath Xone 464 external mixer (8 stereo inputs), and would want to map VDJ instance 1 to the onboard sound and VDJ instance 2 to a PCI addon card (I'll probably buy a M Audio, Turtle Beach, Creative, or something) Have you ever, or know someone who has tried it? Or does our beloved Windows XP Pro merely screw it up?
My PC: Intel DX48BT2 mobo / Intel Core 2 Quad Q9450@2.80ghz / Onboard SigmaTel Dolby 7.1 chipset / 2gb DDR3 1600 / Nvidea GeForce6600 card... pretty sure the hardware can handle it.
I seek input from experienced users before I spend money on an additonal sound card. TIA!!!
My apologies to the moderators if this belongs in the 'Hardware' category.
