Topic: Recording using older software on MAC

Dieses Thema ist veraltet und kann veraltete oder falsche Informationen enthalten.

Hey all,

I'm sure this topic has been covered several times over but not really sure where to look throughout the forum.

Just purchased a MAC a week or so ago and have been using VDJ on PC. With all the changes comes some obstacles I'm finding so hopefully someone can help me out.

I have a few different consoles but have been using the Hercules MK2 for years. It is compatible with MAC however the software which I downloaded from this site (Virtual DJ's) itself for MAC doesn't allow me to Record my mixes unlike the same version for PC.

Didn't want to do it but I tried a cracked version of the same software for MAC along with the console and that version DID allow me to record
but functions within the MK2 console like the proper use of the headphones mostly gave me issues not allowing me to get full use of the controls like listening to only one side playing or being able to hear the full mix on both the right and left sides of my headphones.

I'm thinking that the cracked version just isn't set up correctly for the use of the console meaning that I am subjected to only utilizing the DJC Edition solely even though there is a setting for it in Virtual DJ itself but the moment it brings up Master - Output 1/2 & Headphones - Output 3/4 I'm pretty lost.

So if anyone has any ideas of how I can resolve being able to RECORD mixes with the DJC Edition for MAC as it says "Not available In This Version" even though it IS available for the PC version please let me know otherwise I'm open for other suggestions.

Thanks,

Eli

Its funny how no one at VDJ wants to reply to this one. You can not have a software that has no recording on a MAC but has it on the PC . . . You guys need to fix the MAC version to work and enable recording on it (even tech support at Hercules agreed). I have made a ticket about this already 4 days ago and no one has replied!

This is the second question I have asked on this forum and no replies . . . not impressed! I also tried to use a pro version of the software with my MAC and some speakers and have never been able to get previewing working properly and even when I kind of did, I could not control the treble, mids and bass when in preview mode.

Help on this matter would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks for the useless link and your opinion. I will buy the pro version when I see I am financially fit in the mean time either every user (PC and MAC) should have record or none of them should and if this continues to go down this path I will escalate it to other levels. You can not have record only on the PC and not offer it on the MAC, it's simply unethical and I highly doubt it's legal.

You doubt the illegality of how Atomix chooses to distribute their software, yet continue to crack the same software and complain on their forums? Good luck with that.

Ever wonder why people crack their software? They just proved my point about being prejudice towards MAC users and trying to squeeze them for their cash!

Message: Hi,

How come the PC version has recording but not the MAC version in VirtualDJ (free one that came with my MK2) . . .
I am not pleased with this as I have been using the MK2 on a PC forever without any issues but now I buy a MAC and I have this issue . . . What is the solution?

Message: The solution is to purchase the PRO version of the software. Have you downloaded the Mac Pro trial version?

NOT COOL AT ALL!!!!!

Maybe this will help, sounds like a similar problem. Also, maybe you should actually purchase a product, before you start complaining about it.

I'm not complaining about it in the slightest and HAVE purchased the software... well technically it came with my DJC console
which is the software I'm entitled to download from the website here.. When I download the PC version (DJC) there's no problems but
the MAC version just doesn't allow me to record.. That's really my only beef as otherwise all is good..

Gonna read the other posts and see
