Is anyone using the NS7 with Virtual DJ now? I am getting one in today and want to know of any problems or if any special installs are needed.

Thanks!

Same here.... waiting to know if it works flawless with VDJ to know if worth the (future) purchase.

Your answer is in the hardware forum, not here. Basically, yes, it works. Do a search there.

No it doesn't fully work. There is no aux in, and no start/stop timing capability. It also has strange pops, and noise when using keylock feature & adjusting the BPM.
The Itch program feels more responsivel.

These could be PC issues, but my rig is more than adequate for audio mixing with virtual dj.

Your experience may very. I don't have one, but a friend of mine said it worked great. If you have a laptop, see if the store will let you test it with a display model. If you have a desktop try it, if it doesn't work take it back. Make sure they have a good return policy.

As Aeyst states, there are about 2-3 functions not working yet but otherwise it works great with VDJ. His problem with popping etc are his PC issues as I do video, audio and karaoke mixing nightly without sound or video problems using the NS7. Best investment I made in the last few years. Can't wait to see the other functions working.

like my fellow dj mention ns7 works fine with vdj6.0.5 only issue mic and line are not midi mapped out yet ...patiently waiting on ns7 update
fergot to mention spinning videos

I have been using it for 2 weeks now under version 6.5 and it works great so far.

Thanks for the feedback!

Seems to be working pretty good in my opinion. Having the platters spinning still makes me a little nervous, but 6.0.5 seems to work much better than say 6.0.2.

I just need to find a way to import all my Serato Itch Crates. Anyone know how to do that. The SSL Crates checkbox is checked, but it doesn't pull in the Itch Crate info.

Mine works Absolutely awesome since 6.0.3........even with heavy scratching. Thanks guys for the awesome work. Parked my RMX and haven't looked back.

I'd still keep a light-weight controller around, as the NS7 is a BEAST to carry around :/ As far as the mapping/interface, things seem pretty stable on 6.0.5.

I looked all over for this thread! Can any of you guys PLEASE HELP ME!!!! I just downloaded VDJ Pro and it worked (a little bit anyway) with my NS7. Still had problems but I thought with a few tweaks here and there it might help. Nothing major... Just a few things as recommended for optimization. So now.... I can't even get it to run at all! (I have a ticket on that). So I'm asking (begging) the guys that have managed to get VDJ to work with their NS7 to give me some pointers on what I need to do.

My setup is this: Numark NS7, VDJ Pro 6.05, HP G70-250-US, Pentium Dual Core T4200, Vista Premium 32-bit, 300GB HD, w/4GB RAM, 400GB Toshiba external drive.

Soooo.... Does anyone here wanna help me out a little? Or is this forum (or this thread) dead? Where's the administrators?

I am using the NS7 with the latest version of VDJ 6.0.5. Can you describe what you have done so far? Can't really answer your question without knowing exactly what you've done. What tweeks have you done?

Does the NS7 work with Serato Itch still?

Nothing works. VDJ won't load. Freezes at "Initializing External Devices". I ran the registry tool as directed and then did a search for "Virtual DJ" in Windows and deleted VDJ files and folders only, emptied the recyle bin, and did a system restore to a date prior to downloading the software. Then I did a fresh download and install of VDJ and still the same results. As far as tweaks they are the same as the ones recommended for running Serato ITCH on Windows Vista 32-bit. Please help as I am becoming increasingly frustrated.

i am running virtual dj 6.4 on windows vista 64bit. Had to do no tweaks in order to get NS7 to work. The only option on the NS7 currently not working with VDJ is the aux input, but that is not an issue, just a feature not enabled yet.

@agathree: Are you answering on behalf of DJElite3? My question was directed at him, indicated by his quote. But thanks for letting me know about your status. Mine both work too. :p
