Hi guys i have been reading the Timecode Configuration Guide in the wiki and i cannot seem to get my pitch within the config to stay at 0.0 neither can i get 4 lines of seperate dots.

The Timecode Configuration Guide tells you a bit about setting this up correctly but the settings i change do not make any difference.

Also my Timecode config looks different to the picture in the Timecode Configuration Guide could this be my problem

I am using the esi maya44 usb along with serato CV02 Timcode Vinyls..

The pitch will always got somewhere between -1.0% to 1.0%

Here are my screen shots.

And this is how they surpose to look according to th timecode config guide.

Nobody got any opinions on this one then?

Why is there very little support for timecode users surley one of the dev team no the correct way to setup timecodes to work near flawless.

I have posted several posts now regarding timecode issues and i have found there to be very little support.......

Hey where did i get a extra star from lol.

According to the Timecode Configuration Guide the noisemap is a vinyl timecode picture and a cd timecode has a complete different signal shape.

The point i am getting at is my signals are nothing like the ones in the guide.

1. The circles green in colour for the timcode signal. Where the circles join mine join in the top left box (See pic below)

But the timcode signal from the Timecode Configuration Guide show the same signal but the circles join in the bottom right box (See pic below)

Is this a problem or a setup error by myself.

2. The lines within debug menu state in Timecode Configuration Guide that you shoud have four seperate lines of dots 2 above green line and 2 below green line.

I have dots all over the place (See pic below)

But Timecode Configuration Guide shows the dots should be like this

Same again is there a problem or is it a setup error by myself.

I have been playing around for ages with this but cant seem to solve it.
I have a esi maya44 which does not have coloured rca inputs so i have tried it the other way around.
When i do this i can get the four seperate lines of dots (after checking box invert signal phase as i am getting -200% on my pitch) But then i get a egg shaped signal which i cannot make into a circle no matter how much i adjust left/right or phase/anti

Thanks

Rob

Your circle is slighty off

So how do i correct it then.

Thanks

In the first screen shot. Turn the left/Right & Phase/Anti. These will allow you get a perfect t shape. Alittle off from perfect is ok. Just make shure that you have 100% time code quality. The dot that's inside the green circle is the silence. On my laptop, the dot is smaller. Turn the Silence knob back to make it smaller. Uncheck the clear sound & un check the smooth.

Your screen shots show a good config.

You do have the four streams of dots, and they do not cross the middle line, which is the most important. We don't care if the two upper streams or two lower merge sometimes.
We also don't care about where the circles meet.

So, from your screenshots, it looks like you'll have a good and strong timecode detection.

The thing that you could tweak are:
1) Your silence knob is probably a little too high. Put your turntable on stop, and lower your silence knob until the gray area covers the green signal, but not too much bigger.
2) You say you use turntables with a maya44. Do your turntables have line-level outputs? If not, turn on the "riaa filter", it would probably help.
3) Your circles are just slightly egg-shaped. Moving the left/right knob just a little could help. But it's almost ok already. Don't touch the phase/anti, you don't have this problem.

About your pitch variations, it doesn't seem it's coming from the timecode. What turntable are you using? If it's a belt-drive, try to change the belt. (if you did need the riaa filter, fixing it might help too).

Ok i have tried using the riaa filter when i apply it my green circle goes fuzzy and the signal then goes up and down only getting 100% signal every few seconds..

My turntables are kam ddx3000 direct drive. These are not causeing the problem as i thought this a while ago and tested on a pair of technics 1210s mk2 and still had the same problem even tried with the quartz lock on to see if the pitch would stay at 0.0% but still no luck.

Thanks

The RIAA filter must only be clicked when you connect your phono turntable to an LINE input. Then the filter emulates the RIAA amplifier.

When you connect to PHONO inputs on your soundcard, switch to PHONO if there is an hardware switch on the card and disable the RIAA filter in your setup.

Ok i dont think you understand i have my phono leads from my turntables going into the esi maya 44 inputs (I also have the ground leads attached to the correct channel on my mixer).

I then have the ouputs from the esi maya 44 going to line channel 1 and 2 on my mixer (This is correct as far as i am aware).

Then if i apply riaa filter my green circle goes compltey distort and my signal is no longer 100% (So in my opinion i dont need to use the riaa filter as i get 100% signal with it switched off).

The problem i am getting is i cannot get the pitch to stay at 0.0% that is what i am trying to slove here i have solved all other problems myself by messing around with the settings as like i have said before there is very little support for timcode users.

I just want to explain for what the RIAA filter is used.

hi,
i have had virtual dj for about a year now and i love it(i hav it upgraded to the latest version). I recently just bought 2 technics SL-1200MK2's, the virtual vinyl audio interface, and i hav a mixer. I understand this is all you need to operate virtual vinyl with virtual dj. but its just not working for me(if i am lucky enough it will play sometimes on one deck, sometimes on both) i especially can not get it to go backwards(on the deck i would spin the record backwards but the song will go forwards), which is imprtant to scratch.
Maybe my config is wrong?
I lack hardware?
if anyone can, please help me, i do not want to have had blown off all this money for no reason. Thank you in advanced.
p.s. i hav bought the serato CV02's just in case.

Hi send me some screen shots of what signals you are receiving from your timecodes.

Every configuration is different depending what equipment you use.

I could tell you the way i have mine setup then it could not work for you that way.

Follow that guide from the post above as a basic starting point then just make fine adjustments to suit you or if you get stuck just post back

im taking a look at it but i do not understand what the "noisemap" is used for or how to configure it. i understand it is affected by what type of vinyl and interface you are using. i have a virtual vinyl audio interface box and i have both the virtual vinyl(i was using 1000 MhZ relative mode with these vinyls)and serato CV-2's.
thanks for all your help so far
