Ive just puchased a mpg format music video disc from the guys at DMC,does anyone know how to copy theses on to your hard drive? as i normaly copy just dvds,never done mpg format before. i use cue sofware on vista

Matt,

You need to be more specific, most videos come as .vob files and you have to rip the chapters to individual files. (Songs)
If you have a DVD that has already been ripped to Mpeg (1) (2) or (4) then you can copy them to your hard drive and your good to go. What type of DVD's are you working with? (I'm not familiar with DMC?)

Ive had a look around www.dmcworld.com and i cannot find and DVDs in plain MPG format. however their currrent music videos come on a standard DVD. So you should be able to use your regular software to save them to harddrive as VOB(mpg2)
 

If it is a DATA DVD or sometimes called DVD-Rom that is filled with mpg files you simply put the disc in the drive and drag and drop the files just like any hard drive, floppy drive or flash drive.

If it is an actual DVD you need to rip them with your DVD ripping software like any other music video DVD.
 

Thanks for the info guys, DMC Music videos in the uk are now selling there dvds in MPEG Format,so they are already taged,save all that typing!!
