Ok...I have completely forgotten how to do this....
I moved some of my folders to different drives. How do I delete the old search results and rescan to make it all work again?
Thanks a TON for any help.

Right click on the folders, drives, or directories that you wish to add to the database and click "add to search db". After that's done, go to setting and enter the "browser" tab. In that window, on the bottom, select each drive and one by one select scan, clean up, then fix. This process will add athe new folders to the db, and remove all the old dead links to songs.

Tip: If you move files or folders within virtual dj the database is updated automatically.

Nice touch! But not always possible. My master library is held elsewhere with the external HD simply being a mirror of that. Plus as VDJ doesn't write tags back (and also the track interface not really suitable for mass editing) I manage all my tagging and folder naming elsewhere so the VDJ database always has to play catch up.
Now - a standalone editor that could be used for tag editing, folder and filter management with a nice easy to use interface and would read and write back to the VDJ database would be a nice little tool to add to the mix - so to speak!
Cheers,
Roy
