I just sprayed a mixture of alcohol and distilled water on a rag and gently wiped the surface and knobs. Thats how I clean my LCD screens. Looks good as new =D

When im cleanning just the plate.. i would use a all purpose cleaner. Ill spray it to a paper towell and then ill wipe away. i wont spray directly to the plate. If i want to clean the fader, ill use something like " Deoxit " faderlube.

Microfibre cloths are the miracle cleaner of this century. No chemicals cleaners need to be added. I have one in my gig bag at all times & use it to wipe down my gear plus the gear at the clubs that tends to get all dusty as most are too lazy to cover them up.
If you have a part not coming clean with just the cloth, you can wet the microfibre with water & that will clean anything off.

I don't personally own an RMX but for my Pioneer CDJ-400s and DJM-800 mixer this is what I do: First I used a compressed air canister or my air compressor to blow out all dust and debris (if you use a compressor do it gently with lower air pressure, you can over do it and damage something).
Then I use a light mist of Windex either directly or pre-moisten a towelette (micro-fiber or a soft, lint-less, paper towel). If you have little experience with cleaning electronic components do not mist the unit directly, moisten the towel first and lightly wipe the surface to remove smudges and dust build-up.
This is how I clean nearly all of my DJ and personal electronics and have done so without an issue for well over 30 years.
