i second...

how about if they get the existing database fixed and improved so we can move files between folders and move them to another harddrive without losing all our VDJ bpms and cue points first....then we can start worrying about transferring from other programs

I thought Serato crates already worked in VDJ?

This is already possible in the latest version (actually released in 6.0.3) :: drag-n-drop from browser panel to the left folder panel ... press and hold the CTRL key before 'droppin' the files into the folder.

Yeah, you are right, serato crates and timecodes already work in vdj. But the only thing is missing is importing the cue points and the loops from serato. It a great idea, if the vdj staff want folks who have serato and may want to migrate to vdj, make the process as seamless as possible.
Hey, Tracktor is doing it, so vdj better keep abreast with the competition...

I did not know that (obviously or I would not have posted that) and I'll try it for sure...but what about when we move them to another folder using tag & rename or windows explorer (or my computer) as those are much easier and faster than doing it through the browser.....especially when the browser doesn't read mpg2 tags so you can't always sort on all the fields you want to.

I know this is a minor inconvenience amid the other video freezing, tcv and other real problems people are having.....just trying to make the VDJ experience as pleasurable as possible.

It looks as though Traktor has created a tool for importing SSL files...can we get one of those? or at least give me a registry value that I can change to point to my serato files. I have no idea where VDJ wants my serato files to be. Could we add a browse button or something?
