This is the turntable I've been waiting for...

I must have a pair of these! Hopefully they'll work with VDJ.

I have been waiting for a contrller like this as well, does anyone have an idea of what the cost may be for these?

As I understand it's not possible to mix videos in Serato with this controller. What a nonsense.
Also Serato website says:
Note: 64 bit Windows is not supported, if you are purchasing a Windows machine for ITCH please ensure it has a 32 bit Windows installation.

Forget about to see V7 working ok with other software .
If you want to use Vci300 You must to use Asio4all (not so good)
It will be ok if you are thinking to work with ITCH ...
The problem is not vdj or traktor ....the problem is : they don't want to see the hardware working with other softs . It's a closed system .
I'm using Vci300 with Vdj BUT with asio4all :-( -
And ...we don't know anything about price .... I think it will be at least 700 € ....for this money I think djm400 or denon 3700 are better and they work perfect with Vdj .

Just a small point.
VDJ is a 32 bit application that runs better on 32 bit O/S. Whenever someone asks me for advise about VDJ one of the first things I tell them is to make sure everything matches.
32 bit application
32 bit O/S
Directx 10 vid card
Directx 10 O/S
USB 2.0 controller - USB 2.0 port (you'd be surprised)
ETC......
There are currently lots of people having trouble with windows 7 64 bit and there are 2 main culprits.... Lack of drivers, and 64 bit.
I imagine it was the same for ITCH, so Serato just published that it doesn't work. Smart in my opinion.

I use my VCI-300 with Vista 64 with ZERO problems. Same with my RMX, ZERO problems (over a year of using that combination). Most of the issues being experienced are driver related, NOT VDJ related. It is easy to blame any software but, we see this every time Windows releases a new OS. Microsoft is more to blame than anyone else, having their OS on 95% of the worlds PCs was not good enough, they had to "improve sales" so they developed a new OS.

V7 will work with any software as VDJ already supports the NS7 it should be possible to remap this :-)

Well let us see if numark can make pioneer and denon stay at the back, the new pioneer and denon carry usb or midi, cd can use with any software,VDJ supports denon in midi ,thay can write a mapper for the numark v7 but if the numark V7 can handle the durability and the feel for a scratch DJ, I will sell my denon 3700 and buy two. I think the manufacturers who making all these players should give the VDJ Team a pair of the unit so they can play around and make multiple mappers for the own interest of sale for the players, cause to each DJ is own, every DJ has his or her style.I can see where pioneer keep it simple and denon emulate turntable as much as possible but whosoever can pull the turntablist crowd will win the market.

It's not about mapping :
they are using a system 10 times faster than midi ....this is a real difference -

But V7 will not work with Serato Scratch Live. Only with ITCH, VDJ and others.

Well if this is the case,I am selling my denon, I need two numark v7,I like to stay with the game, didn't like the ns7 cause its a all in one unit, but this v7 is going to broke my pocket, need to get some more gigs,I am buying a pair.

The price right now is $799.00 US it comes with Serato Itch, I wonder what the price would be if you were to only purchase the contrller and not the Itch software.

For all intents and purposes the software is free. You can download it from the Serato site. In all likely hood there will be no discount given for just the hardware.

The Deck looks nice and has good features but for me.. Its missing a SP-6 sampler. I like the sampler banks in scratch live. Its no big deal.

It's strange, this is pretty similar to the Stanton Scs.1d, but nobody mentions the stanton one ever. Is it even released? Or was there problems with it that I didn't hear about.
Either way, this thing looks amazing. I'll have to see what the price is, but I could seriously consider this, the stanton one, or the EKS otus raw.

After I do the math, the deck is great but then again it doesnt use cd,no sampler and they stick to serato itch, its like buying a laptop without a cd/dvd drive,I will stick with my denon 3700, if i play at a wedding and i get couple track to mix on cds I can always put my denon in cd mode, the order of the day you have to be versatile, and I am sure when the VDJ team improve the platter on the denon 3700,everybody will be buying one or two.

I test drove the Scs.1d at a trade show and it sucked ass for scratching, serious sticker drift. The concept was good but the performance was lackluster.

But now there's a VST plugin that enables scratching in Ableton Live.
When they release it, that could be all they need to get the SCS.1d flying off the shelves.
I know there's "The Bridge" but that involves running Scratch Live or Itch at the same time as Ableton Live, plus
it's tied in very tightly with hardware. Some hardware works with Itch, some with Scratch - it's a mess!

yes, there is a difference in the way those controllers will work with ITCH, and..
Unless something has changed since the last time I checked. The NS7 only works in 128 resolution with VDJ. Not the same as it will work with ITCH.
$800 sounds like a lot for 128
