I am having the worst trouble putting the crossfader into hamster mode in 6.0.5, I see it has a crossfader_hamster (inverts crossfader), perfect, I am not actually able to select it, when I type it in it does not work at all... Can I get the "simple" answer on how to put the crossfader on crossfader_hamster?

I suppose it depends...Are you talking about a keyboard shortcut?
If so, go to config->mappers, select the keyboard from the dropdown at the top, then click the "new (+)" icon at the bottom, then choose a key for the action (you could hit the key first, because it defaults to "learn" mode), then enter the command crossfader_hamster.
Whenever you hit his key, your option will be activated/deactivated.
