Absolutely not complaining here but I was hoping to try see if there is any way to convince the powers that be to give us 3 installs instead of two.
For years, I have been using other software that allowed me 3 installs. It was extremely convenient to have an installation for my main laptop, my backup laptop and my home machine.
I recently moved to VDJ and absolutely love it. My only "beef" is the 2 installs.
Again, not complaining but does anyone else see it my way?
It's not about the money or maybe it is... forking out another $299 for another license seems a bit steep. Perhaps, allow for an additional install for say $90 or so....
Ok, I am done... thanks for listening to my rant!
Opinions are welcome.

The fact that they continiously give away free updates (one time purchase.. lifetime license), means I giggle when I realize the great deal I got..
I gotta ask...
WHY do you need three PRO licenses? (why not purchase 'BASIC' for the home computer? Why not purchase a controller that comes with VDJ, and then upgrade for $150)
and what software gives you three licenses???!!

Heck, I'm glad for two. I always have two laptops at the same gig. (backup).

mp3rick has answered my question... thanks Rick.
To the others... thanks, I guess. Interesting replies to a simple question for sure.

I agree with that.
I always have two laptops at the same gig. (backup).
And if you loose your 2 PCs, you are dead (yes, I know, you can have another back up on external HDD)
So, for me to; 3 installation seems really necessary

3 licenses would be nice instead of two. I'd even pay an additional 90 bucks for the 3rd license (though I think 50 would be more fair). It's not like i'd be using all 3 at the same time either, at any point. Before I push out new virtual DJ software & new features at my main gig I always like to test it in a development environment (part of the IT guy coming out in me). Plus, I always like to have a backup production machine (nearly an exact mirror) in case the main box fails.

Why not make it 4 in case you lose the third too?! After all as well as someone stealing both gig machines they could be robbing your home too ;)
I can't understand why in this scenario having a backup at home is any use; if you lose both the other machines then technically you aren't using any installs so could install another 2?
