So far does what it is suppose to do. Touch sensitive jog whells great for scratch cd OR MP3 CD , time code and MP3 jump drive. Ipod abiliity to record your session is a plus. Ipod play back and navigation is a plus. Usb sound card built into unit sounds great w/laptop. The best piece to this unit will be when it can be mapped to control the greatest program out via midi - VDJ!!!! SMILE

Using maya 44 for time code, and asio 4all and the performance is great w/ vdj and the numark mixdeck
 
TIME CODE EVEN WORKS OFF THE JUMP DRIVE W/THE TIME CODE SINGNAL. Anyone else using the numarl mixdeck yet
 
i'm thinking about it but dont think it is released in uk yet
 
I picked it up on the 14 of this month it had just came off the truck kareokekev. I had never heard about the numark mixdeck until i just happen to be window shoping at my local music store
 
Any news on when/if the mixdeck will be mapped for vdj via midi?
 
PHIL DONT KNOW WHEN OR IF THE NUMARK MIXDECK WIIL BE MAPPED TO VDJ . The time code cd or on jump drive control vdj just fine for now. I use the maya 44 sound card. All is well w/this unit so far. I can spin off jump drive cd,mp3 cd hard drive time coded cd . I can use the sound card built in to the mixdeck by connecting a usb to laptop have to use mouse and keyboard to control vdj this way.

Hey Kev,

How good is this unit ? I see your using timecodes because it not mapped out. I'm curious on how it works,seems like a nice unit.
I'm using a Denon HD2500 and i hate the fader. So i'm shopping around for a unit to use. This is using alot of different media so it works for what i do.
 
I am brand new to the controller / time code cd thing and have no idea what I am doing lol. But i went out and bought the mix deck so any info on how to get this thing to somewhat work with vdj is much apprechiated! please and thank you!

i got 6.1.2 the trial and a mixdeck the mixdeck is mapped out fine yet everytime i click mixdeck on the sound card choices for external mixer 4-out and click apply i check again and i doesnot seem to produce any sound plus it reverts back to pocket audio built in microphone not mixdeck
i need help as fast as possible please i have a party in 2 hours plzzz helpppp

I have been reading your comments and you have been very helpful, however I just purchased the Numark MixDeck and I am running it with VDJ. I was able to get it to work but no sound is coming out of the speaker, I do however have sound on the headphones. I am using the latest version of VirtualDJ Pro 7 that came out recently. My settings are as follow:
Sound Setup:
Imputs: NONE
Outputs: External Mixer - Deck1: Chan1&2/Deck2: Chan 3&4
Sound Card: 4-Out Card - Numark MIXDECK

I tried changing the output, but it comes back to the first settings I had automatically.
BTW: The speakers are making noises. Also I had the same problem while running VDJ 6.1.2 that's why I thought it was going to be fixed if I updated the software. (no luck there).

this scares me if i will purchase a 200 dollars software that isnt working...
 
Just a little thing with the mixdeck I believe the mixer on it has an audio source selector switch for each channel as well as control source selectors for each channel, if I was to use this piece of hardware for my midi controller would I still be able to swap back and forth from midi control to usb to cd back to midi without having to restart the mixdeck or vdj? I currently have 7.0.2 for the Mac and find that with the hd2500 I'm currently using this is not possible (for one thing the hd2500 needs a full reboot to change from midi control back to built in hdd and then needs to be changed again to the new source)

This would be great if it can do that as it will replace 3 separate pieces of equipment into one unit (mixer, dual cd deck, and midi controller/sound card)
 
Hello, New at Mixdeck. For some reason I'm having issue's with the DECK2 & CH2 fader and Crossfader with sounds. Could it be a setting on VDJ v.7? or something else?
