I am a Numark (Cue) Dealer, I recently sold a Pioneer CDJ400/CMX400 combo pack to a customer. We always like to install the software, assemble the system and configure the players so the customer knows the system works when they leave the store.
I ran into a small problem. The songs play/sound fine, but intermittently it sounds like the music stutters/slows down and returns to normal.
Under the performances tab I changed the presets to the 4 different settings and no difference.
My customer is running an HP Laptop with Windows Vista Home Premium, Intel Duo Core 2.0 Ghz, with 4 Gigs of RAM, so the laptop seems fast enough. Any suggestions?

I'm a CDJ-400 user and sometimes I get that problem too. I downloaded the ASIO drivers from ASIO4all.com, which is free. After you download the drivers what you do is choose "ASIO" instead of "2 Cards" option, then in the drop down choose "Pioneer CDJ400 ASIO".
Give that a try and see if it solves your issue.
