my vdj keeps giving me the message error n the sound driver (directx/wdm). no music will play in virtual dj due to this

Me too. Just purchased and downloaded VDJ 6.0.5 Pro. Went to Hercules website and updated drivers. I get error in the sound driver directx when rmx is not plugged in. and error in asio when it is plugged in... Strangely VDJ worked once with rmx not plugged in. Keep going in to config menu to double check output settings. Everything looks ok unless i'm not looking in the right place.

Bump !!!! I having the same error pop up when opening Vj and once open i can load a song and nothing happens...When i go to close VJ down it asks me if i want to close with a song playing ,but the song is loaded but nothing is happening. Please Help!!
Ok found solution to error on google search...but Vj still not playing song...I load a song and nothing happens but Vj still say a song is playing when i go to shut it down. Please help!!

There is a difference in problems here.
1) the report of an asio error with the rmx version comes from its assiciation with the pro trial which is in asio mode.
Its been a problem that is usually solved by manual configuration in the Hercules sound control panel.
2) When you load a track and it is not playing and reporting that it is, your sound card assignments are incorrect.
These will vary with different configurations ie: internal or external mixer and the different sound card choices.
As a Pro user I would set up by clicking on the dj icon in the lower task bar with vdj closed, check asio.
Then open vdj and click config/sound and assuming you are using the console with the internal mixer set it up as box 1 - none, box 2 - speakers & Phones, box 3 - ASIO with the console selected as the sound card, normally 1/2 main and 3/4 as monitor. Make sure you connect your mains to 1/2 either the rca or 1/4" on the back of the console.

I FOUND THAT IN ASIO MODE THE MUSIC WILL SPEED UP ON IT'S ON ALSO PRODUCES A BAD SOUND....
