A few months ago I found NotAlwaysRight.com, and for anyone who has done time in retail or customer service then you'll love this site.

Today I found an entry just for fellow DJ's

(Two customers have come in to rent some sound equipment that they need to DJ a party. I’ve given them all the basic equipment they need for the sound system.)

Me: “Is there anything else you need with your rental?”

Customer: “Yeah, we need something to make it sound better…like lights!”

I don't get it ?

Danny,

Please tell me you're joking? Or are you the person who is asking to have audio sound better with the implimentation of lights?

Fuuuunyyyyyy

Joey.....

Luckily, we have quite good customer service in the UK.

Whilst in Bahrain though I bought a toaster that didn't work, when i took it back they didn't have a replacement so i said just give me a different make or model but they wouldn't because they were all a little bit more expensive so i then asked for my money back. They declined! I've never know this type of conduct before so I was shocked. They were Indians, I soon learn't that they are mean and the biggest cheats out there and didn't do any type of business again! especially when it came to DJing..

Lights make me sound better.

Sound is subjective.

Lights are Entertaining.

I can see why someone who's not an audio/video geek saying something like that.

Lights dont make anyone sound better. Its the way you play that makes a difference.

I agree with marcel. A measurable degree of the sound is the influence of the entire atmosphere. The human senses rarely work completely independently of one another. A steak can be cooked exactly the same, but steak (a) serve it in a warm comfortable atmosphere vs steak (b) served in a distracting and tense business meeting and 9 out of 10 people would say steak (a) tasted better than steak (b).

The visual stimulation from a great light show or video show can certainly enhance the apparent quality of the sound as the brain is not as critically focused on it as it would if it was being scrutinized independent of any other significant stimulus.

That all being said, in the true non scientific irony of the statement it is quite humorous!
