The title says it all.
It is just a thought.
New technology is coming everyday.
Maybe we will be playing 3d-music-video-clips tomorrow and everybody in the club will wear that 3d-glasses.

you dont need more outputs to play 3d video clips.
though what would be good is if we could have an output dedicated to showing a rolling advert for drinks promotions, and when no video plays on the main output, the same advert shows on the main screen..
there is an aincient system called Kelidovision that does this, but its front end dj interface isnt upto the standard we're used to with VirtualDJ..

But I can do that now with the clipbank.
I create an advertising video with flyers, etc. and have VDJ play it when there is no video, or, I can manually switch the advertising on to replace the videos.

exactly mate, been using clipbank like that since it was released, anyway, if you use the firetext plugin with an outside input from say a dvd player instead of a camera you can put that feed anywhere, any size on screen now over your music vids, clipbank, anything your outputting basically,
and if that wasn't enough your gonna be able to use swf, avi and mpeg files for adverts as well anywhere on screen with the new update.

yes clipbank, but imagine a 2nd video output with just the clupbank running..
Then when youre not playing a video/karaoke the 1st video output switches to clipbank

but i could use this idea to have bar offers on some screens behind the bar..

I see your logic but no matter what promotion your showing your not going to reach the max potential. Where as a single output would. Unless your showing two promos at the same time. I'm sure there could be a great idea in the making.

You could string 6 projectors together and output in high def onto a 200 ft wall

There is a bar i know of that has a PC based system that does this, but it was designed by a media firm, and made specialy for Reflex bars in the UK.
but it could be done if the code for clipbank was modified so it playd constant to a 2nd monitor, then VDJ would show it on main output when needed..
