The next version of "DJ Patterns" is now ready for beta testing and code review (DJCel, does this mean you?)
The new app is called DJT2 (DJ Tools 2) and has same abilities as my "DJ Patterns" app plus the following new features
GENRES
* Users can now filter Patterns or Export information by Genre. When the application loads it looks through all of the VDJ databases to get a current list of genres. If you want to see specific genres select "Genres" from the "Edit" menu.
EXPORT:
* Users can load playlists, folders and/or VDJ database files.
* The list of fields and their order is user customizable. The fields can be customized by selecting from the EDIT menu.
* Export as CSV (comma separated), WinAmp playlist or HTML
APPLICATION
* The load time of media has been improved! (Tech info: Open the VDJ XML file and leave it open until the scan is complete)
* The loading of data is threaded so that they user can view other data as more is loaded. i.e: Reviewing patterns while export media is being loaded.
* There are status and progress bars on the main window so that no additional window/dialog does not block the user's view of current media information.
These are the final features for this version. I do want to hear what you would like the next version of the app to do, but I also want to get this version completed and out to the users.
If you would like to test this version please send me a PM so that I can get you the app and or code. It is written in VB.NET 2008 so you will need the .NET Frameworks 2.0 installed.
