hi...i just switch from a p.c. to a macbook now my denons s3500 is not working with the timecode....i'm using the serato sl 1 hardware...plz help doing party this saturday..and i'm stuck

did you download drivers for mac to use with your hardware
 
I believe the sl1 doesn't work on the mac side yet.

Even if you download the drivers...The Serato box doesn't show up in a mac running virtual dj. You only see 4 in 4 out Card & Not SL 1 Box. Since you have a Mac. You can always bootcamp it and it will work.

please explain to me how to get it working my son is losing intrest in spinning...he doesn't like using the serato
 
Use serato for now but untill then.....Your mac needs to be bootcamped. Every mac allows you to install windows for those that need to run windows based software. It sound technical but its easy to do. Your mac installs a partition into your hard drive and that partition is to install a copy of windows, what ever choice you want. XP, Vista Or Windows 7. I am using XP for just audio dj iing.

Alternatively you could purchase a sound card that is compatible with VirtualDJ Mac, such as Hercules DJ Trim.
 
I never thought about that JP.. @ F_Dip. You can always selll your serato box on craigslist. You will find a buyer quick trust me.. Once you sell it, you can buy the Hercules DJ trim.
