Dieses Thema ist veraltet und kann veraltete oder falsche Informationen enthalten.

Hi guys . The club that i Dj at has decided to go video . I have tons of music videos on my laptop for vdj and know how to play them . Im unfamiluar on how to get the videos to play on the tv's . The Dj booth has all the coax cable splitters in it for the tv's allready , and i just need to know what i need to buy in order to get the videos that play on my laptop to the tv screens .

My laptop is a new hp - pavilion dv6 with vista . The music mixer in the booth is old-skool and just controls the volume .

I really need help , i need to purchase the stuff to make it work tomorrow .

THanks guys

I run video from my HDMI output on my laptop to a HDMI splitter, then to 2 tv's. Only two ways I've ever done is VGA and HDMI.... how many tv's they runnin in that place and whats the hook-up?

You can do it two ways i suppose, assuming when you say coax the inputs on the tv's are taking a standard uhf signal. Buy a converter from s-video composite to a tv out or you could set up a old video recorder or alternatively a dvd recorder, use a scart converter with composite input (yellow rca socket) if the units dont have one, tune them in to your input signal, and use the tv output from either unit linked into the coax splitter box.

Hope you understood that, if not give me a shout and i'll make a little vid tutorial.

thanks for the quick response . All the tv's 15 to be exaxt are hooked up using coax (not rca or hdmi or composit). All the coax feeds lead to the Dj booth where the splitters meet the cable box . We want to be able to unhook the cable box and hook up my laptop for my music videos .

I guess i just need some kind of converter to go inbetween my computer and the main coax cable that goes to the splitter's .

My computer has a VGA port , HDMI port and usb ports .

Anyone know of a converter ?

Hello and what better use the HDMI picture quality and more beautiful you can you strolled around with your mouse on the PC image of the video and very marrent
You can take pictures that you can also display the same time as your party

OK, you're gonna need two bits of kit to get from your computer to coax cable. I have done this for one of my recent residencies;

I must point out that I am in the UK. I use this box for normal VGA output from my laptop, I use the composite video (yellow) for most clubs and bars;

I use this box at one of my gigs. It takes the composite video from the other box and converts the signal from digital to analogue coax cable output;

Radioshack is the american equivalent of Maplins in the UK.

This seems to be able to do the first part of the job;

This site seems to have a number of converter boxes;

Good luck.

Agree with Les and it's pointless using the HDMI output if you are going to downgrade the signal to coax/composite resolutions. You're only gonna have to make those external boxes work harder...

For my video setup I have the 2nd output on extended desktop set to 800x600 seeing as PAL is 768x576 and NTSC is 720x480 there is no need to have the resolution set any higher.

Cheers,

Roy

Funny how quickly I found myself needing this same info.... in a new bar for karaoke and they want me to hook-up to their tv ( and of course I want to go a step further and hook-up to all 3, none of which have a HDMI port ). The cable company was in there today as I happened to drive by, they just got cable boxes installed, but the two workers only advice to me was to unhook from the boxes to do my thing.
So post what you get and works for you please!
