Topic: DJ console RMX crackling/surface noise

Dieses Thema ist veraltet und kann veraltete oder falsche Informationen enthalten.

I will try to be brief and specific but its worst;

when i do a mix, listening to a breakdown in a record, i can hear what sounds like crackling/surface noise.

if i record the mix using virtual dj and play it back using my computer striaght to an amp its not there but when i play it back through the RMX through an amp it is there.

The crackling/surface noise is on and off, its not consistent, i can play the same record twice it will be in different places, there is no logic to it.

Any ideas what it is and how to get rid of it or similar experiences?

Change the Asio buffer size to a higher one over the Hercules Driver Icon :)

im not sure what you mean. Do you mean in the hercules dj series control panel?

Yes - he want's you to change the buffer size in the RMX controle panel icon in the taskbar and the increase the ASIO buffer size.

Please connect the console but do not open vdj
In the lower task bar there is a dj icon.
This will open the console control panel when clicked.
In that control panel there is a window to set the buffer.
Please raise it a little at at time and then open vdj until the noises go away.

i have tried that and it made no difference, i keep changing it to asio and have increased the buffer but when i go back into it it keeps switching to wdm but the buffer stays the same

if i use winamp or any other music program with the rmx plugged in i get the same problem. i think its got to be the rmx itself or the driver
