Hello,

We just released VirtualDJ v6.1.
It is available in your Download Center for PRO registred users.
(the trial version will be available in a few days)

The main difference with v6.0.8 is the new NetSearch engine.
As it's been discussed in the NetSearch topic, we are rolling out the old free NetSearch whose content would soon be very restricted due to licensing reasons, and instead we teamed up with Grooveshark to bring you a much better offer:
For only $9.99/month, you get unlimited access to more than 8 million songs from VirtualDJ.

We chose to work with Grooveshark because their catalog is composed of both clean versions of all the major titles straight from the labels, but also those odd songs and exclusive remixes that would help you satisfy all requests.
And all this of course with the labels and artists being compensated for every song you play (hence the small fee).

This was a focused update to add support for grooveshark netsearch.
 
I wanted to sign up for your new membership. Paypal's logo is there, but it seems like there it no link for it., just credit card.

Could you look into this.

This may need another sidebar, but I'm starting here first. I've never had a problem with much with this wonderful system. As all software programs go I'm for the most part forgiving, but every release after 6.05 I have yet to see a fix or explanation as to why my ns7 has a slower response while trying to scratch. Its very frustrating. Ive already experimented with the jog sensitivity settings...please someone help me, I rely a lot on that response setting; right now its too slow and has been since 6.07 mac(btw). I'd very much like to move on from 6.05. thanks in advance
 
6.0.5 is the best for ns7 its funny that the earliest version is the best for it.......i recently sold my ns7 because i was sick of all the bs i was going through with virtual dj up and runing serato itch underneath it just to get a microphone to work..and i had to be careful i did not load any songs in serato itch ...because it would play both at once...i thought the ns7 was nice..but very unreliable ..where you cant even use your aux input if the computer is plugged in and itch isnt open...thats bs..i needed something much more reliable....thats why the 57 is the way to go
 
sorry if i sound lame :) is Grooveshark streaming only, or can we also download the music (aslong as we still have the subscription)?
 
Both in theory.

You can stream live. Or you can cache(download) the file for use when there is no Internet connection. You're subscription must remain active and you must ensure you connect VDJ to the Internet often enough so your cache file permissions can be checked. So long as your still subscribing this should only take a few seconds. If you don't do this you will find at some point the cached files won't work until you refresh the permissions.
 
btw if you are net connected when you start up vdj will automactially refresh your permissions however you can do it manully (for piece of mind i guess) by secondy clicking on the netsearch folder and choosing refresh.

just signed up and so far 100% impressed. Some songs even have video ...wow. How do you know which is video and which is not?

I see you can filter between but say you dont have any filter, is there a way of knowing which is which?

One niggle though. Please please someone help me, winds me up lol when you type in the search bar then say you select a song then thing...ok i will change the title for more info, it deletes it all and you have to type it all over agin grrrrr, how do i stop this?

Other then then, the price is a bargain, i have my phone with me for internet everywhere so hooking it up to VDJ before i start any gig is no prob. Before i leave the house i will also load it up on the internet first.

How long before VDJ needs to check the internet to see if i still have permission? is it hours or days?
 
also :) maybe its just me, but how do i copy and paste, its wont let me paste into vdj to copy titles from the net.
 
sooooo....will we get an answer about the ns7? I've checked a few other topics and this has not been addressed as far as I've read...may I get a private message or something? This is in regards to my last post on the topic of whether or not the new releases will finally end the issues that started after the release of 6.0.5... We are now on 6.1 and I can't upgrade.
 
so just for the record i did a show with a brand spankin new 13in Pro and had no issues. it actually worked flawlessly!
 
OK, I'm new to all this and am looking at my friends VDJ. I like it and am going to purchase but just need to know a few things that I can't seem to get answers to on the net.

I have an 27" iMac with standard soundcard and want to know if I install this, can I hook up an external mixer with one turntable, one cassette deck, two microphones, and still use the two decks on VDJ for my mp3's? And if this is possible, can someone direct me to what I need to purchase and go about hooking this up to my iMac?

I am looking to record a small "radio show" which would be burned to CD or file uploaded to a server.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as I'm not even sure if this is the right way to go.

Same bugs I've been voicing for over a year now (Mac user):

-Video crossfades still flicker in the middle.
-Video crossfades with ClipBank/SlideShow are completely useless (worse than in previous versions).
-Thumbnails in ClipBank are still turned gray and slammed to the left side. (I need to reload my clips for this to work)
