I was practicing with my RMX tonight when suddenly the crossfader started acting crazy. Now when I apply pressure to the crossfader it moves back and forth rapidly on my PC with VDJ software. Even if I tap the RMX it moves the crossfader on the screen back and forth rapidly even though its not physically moving. Is the crossfader broken? I've only had this unit for 6 mos. =(

Yeah its broken, contacted hercules and they are sending me a new one though with instructions on how to fix it myself. Should be interesting taking apart the RMX, im a little excited to see what she looks like on the inside.

It's not hard, just take your time. Don't forget to take the front two feet off - they have screws underneath that attach the case. I'm sure Herc will send detailed instructions on the procedure...Good luck ;)

Are you sure that Auto crossfader and Link crossfader are both off ?

Yes, i posted here originally just in case it was something that could be solved with the software, but after testing the crossfader with the program Midi Monitor It's confirmed that its hardware related. It looks like I will have to get the unit replaced unfortunately. I've only had it for 6 mos. so I believe its still under warranty. Thank you very much for the suggestion.
