i have all my music on on my hard drive when i use vdj say i type the name of a song it wont come up even tho i know its there on the drive this happens for quite a lot of my song can you help...

Have you added the files to the VDJ database? Navigate to the folder on your hard drive, right-click on it and select the option "Add to search DB" from the menu that appears.

is this why i only get some of the songs also on some of the files the name of the songs go and change to numbers yet all my songs have names

Do you mean "file names" or have the files been tagged in an audio program like itunes or windows media player?
Without tags, VDJ will try and get the details from the file name.

Make sure that your files are correctly tagged and also named in the industry standard format of Artist - Title (E.g: ABBA - Dancing Queen.mp3)
A tagging utility such as Tag & Rename will help with this task.
