I had the same problem with timecoded vinyls and my mac. It seems that snow leopard and vdj 6 don't co operate well when you use timecoded vinyls or CDs. You have 3 options.
1) Install windows in you mac (with bootcamp, not virtual machine. I tried it with vmware fusion and I had problems with my soundcard.).
2) Wait until Atomix prepare the next version of VDJ (I hope the problem will be solved then).
3) Use a PC.
If I were you I would choose the 2nd and/or 3rd option. Personally, I use timecoded vinyls in my tower PC and I'm waiting the new version of VDJ to work in my mac properly.

In any way, register your VDJ to have access to updates, plugins etc.
