hi all. Has any user ov VDJ in or around Brighton experience in getting laptop audio to run smoothly when using VDJ?
I have a fab new laptop but despite doing all the mods to background programmes etc its still slightly glitchy when running (sound hiccupped 5 times in a 90 minute set. At 10K its very noticable (to me anyway!!))
can anyone help?

Did you disable wifi, bluetooth, anti virus, power saving, and any other auto functions?

here's what you tell people so they can help .....
she has a dual core 4gigs ram vista home prem 64 bit and a low end shared memory graphic card
hit control shift esc and then processes tab ......how many processes ??
in config/performances set presets to fastest
under sound setup you should be on asio and check ultra latency and 2 lines mixer

Hi there. the laptop isn't using Vista its Windows 7 and the laptop specs are...
HP i3 dual core Operating with: Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit)
CPU: 2.13GHz Intel Core i3-330M
RAM/Expandable to: 4GB/8GB
Hard drive size/speed: 500GB/7,200 rpm
Optical Drive: 8X DVD-Super Multi DL
Graphics/video memory: Intel GMA HD/shared
Display size/resolution: 15.6 inches/1366 x 768 Phew!!!
and not forgetting my trusty RMX.
i've turned off everything i can find including Wifi, Networking, AntiVirus, Bluetooth, Power saving, Performance over Best looking etc and even got a programme called Game Booster which turnes off every background programme that isn't being used.
i have no option to adjust Config as i'm only using the LE version ov VDJ. Not sure how to adjust Sound Config or Latency etc on Asio.
Hope that has given everyone the info they need to assist me.

2 lines mixer ...
set the herc as the soundcard
asio check ultra latency ......
change system priority to background processes or vice versa
are the rmx drivers up to date ...
click config then sound setup.......
inputs none
outputs external mixer
soundcard .....select the hercules from the dropdown box
under that it says asio config check the box for ultra latency, click apply then ok
do happy dance

hi babe. Nop, under the Config Tab the only thing thats there is an offer to either buy the pro version or download a trial verson...
i think its a bit off that Config is a Pro userthing only... For us "non Pro users" Setting up the system is important too!
Thats my little moan over with.
