Ok so last night I was djing from 9-1am in my usual residency
At 12.45 vdj decides it's time to finish the night off with a screen freeze. (all the coulours on vdj ran across the screen)
The music kept playing
The dmc2 froze
The tv screens in the venue blacked out.
Can anyone help me, as to why this happened?
How to resolve ?
Thanks in advance

that to me looks like your video card crashed. possibly over heated.
was the bottom of the laptop hot to the touch??

That's interesting, I don't know if I'd had exactly the same thing or not, but I've occasionally had a freeze like that and simply pulling the usb cable out of the dmc2 did the trick for me.
Then I just pulled the plug and put it back in again to reset it, plugged the usb back in and did "rescan for controllers" and back to normal.
Perhaps yours is different to mine though, I don't remember anything about my video output going funny though.

Do you have the latest version of CueLE installed?
You can download this from the Download Center:

We would strongly recommend upgrading to the most recent version. v5.0 is very old and there have been many changes and improvements since then. v5.2 is the last v5 version and the most stable: http://www.virtualdj.com/download/updates.html
Older versions will have bugs that have been fixed in more recent versions.
You may also wish to consider upgrading to the latest v6.1 Pro - Your CueLE will entitle you to a discount - http://www.virtualdj.com/buy/index.html
You can try the trial of v6.1 Pro free for 20 days if you have not already used it: http://www.virtualdj.com/download/trial.html
