ok guys first time using projector friday.noticed my cpu was running higher than normally with my keylite hardware.had no crashes and all went well.so why did my cpu run higher.

Its normal, remember you have another 1024 x 768 screen going on there, your video processing doubles... what you could do, and it works for me is to change the extended desktop resolution to 800x600. Our videos are usually 720x480 anyway, so by doing that you're taking stress out of your video card and processor, but still keeping a decent video resolution.

If your using hardware video card the CPU should not budge.
I run hdmi to my projector doing 1080p and I don't see any CPU difference
unless I disable Hardware support.

using skin as always mate.vdk skin 1024/768 and never had a problem.normally i used video/karaoke in pub using my keylite hardware to normal video input to screens and cpu ws low.

Are you still displaying to a window?
I noticed something odd about my friend spinning videos this weekend.
he had his display in windows set to extended but instead of selecting the display adapter as the output he
moved the window to the extended screen and stretched it....
this may cause that issue.. but I am not sure.. I don't think it's a good way to do it.

Running in a window seems to less taxing on the system than running full screen. I couldnt run my old system full screen and had to stretch the window or I got glitches - none at all running in a window with multi video effects, etc though. Since I upgraded pc, I have no issues with full screen.

no guys extend my display to second screen and use hardware.be using projector again tommorrow so will try 800x600 output on second screen see if that will work

ok update.
used projector again last nite and same high cpu count when loading songs.
had clipbank running and changed output display to 800x600
