Topic: Error in Video Driver - Emergency

Dieses Thema ist veraltet und kann veraltete oder falsche Informationen enthalten.

Hello All...

Havent touched my system in a long time.... Everything worked perfeectly for a long time. I run music video in a bar thru this Dell Laptop.

All of a sudden tonight when i dragged a video up to play, an error in video driver popped up.

I figured i should download the latest version of virualDJ so i did that...

Now when i play a video the second little VirtualDJ Video screen pops up and Activate is checked in the Config/Video tab.

Any thought as to how to fix this? The music plays fine but the video isnt showing on my external screens....

Any quick help would be great so i can get this up and running ....

thank you....

Looks like your PC is not recognizing your equipment hooked up to the VGA port. Make sure your cable is in secure and that the projector/s are turned on.

In the Video config there should be an option to select your second video port. Good luck.!

where you have ticked the box to activate video did you select the correct video output for your video hook up, in the drop down window you have the choice of your video card output or window mode.

Also, right click on your desktop and check you have your graphics card set to extended desktop. If the screens are blank and not showing your wallpaper, this'll be the cause

guys, I too have experienced a Video Driver Error message but under different circumstances. Please allow me to explain. I have been using Virtual DJ for almost three years. Lately more crashes causing concern, but most recently I will be running my karaoke show... and when i minimize Virtual DJ to look up something on internet (which I've done for years with no issue) Now when i click on the browser button... my cursor flickers and reappears in the middle of my desktop... I may try to click anything (reopen Virtual DJ which is running) but each time, cursor reappears in middle of desktop. I finally go to task manager and select switch to Virtual DJ ... and the video (which has been playing the whole time) goes away.
I then go to config and reset my video settings and my video comes back.
I welcome any suggestions. Thanks for all the support over the years. The support system is why i bought this program.
Michael

PS, I have no video errors until i try to do something other than simply run Virtual DJ by itself.

i would NEVER let my gig machine see the internet. you could have any number of virus's trojans etc from doing that.

I am having the same problem as michaelhawkins1. This problem usually happens after about 2 hours of mixing video. For it to work again I have to unplug the external monitor restart VDJ7 so that works again. My laptop never sees the internet and I do know connect any other external drive other than the one I use and no one else uses the laptop. It is dedicated to just vdj.
Could id be that we need a better video card with larger dedicated memory??

someone told me that there might be a conflict in the sharing of the video. I checked the resolution and they were the same. The last time this happened, I believe i had to reinstall Virtual DJ and it fixed it. It only seems to happen when i have both applications Virtual DJ and "anything else" going. I look forward to solving this.
If i find out anything... Like updating driver, corrupt video driver, I'll surely post. Thanks again for all the help in this matter.

an update. I am still experiencing a situation with Video Driver Error. At first I thought it was when i had Virtual DJ running and then tried to go on line... BUT, it has nothing to do with going online. It happened when I am running Virtual DJ and then minimize VDJ and attempt anything else on my desktop. The screen flickers and the cursor appears in the middle of the screen. So there must be a conflict with VDJ video setting and my computer.

just got home from gig, was still having the same issue but had a thought to update driver. after that still problem... another thought... uncheck "use hardware acceleration" .... WaLaa , problem no more.... I don't know what i have sacrificed and welcome your thoughts , but i am currently not having the problem. Please advise, thank you Michael

after further test, it is directly related to the "use hardware acceleration" , when checked... it locks up the video (not allowing me to leave virtual dj program, like to check a song list you have made in Microsoft Word )
When i deselect the box for use hardware acceleration, the computer seems to work fine ...except... it will not use a transition like cube, it simply fades. And after more research, i found another user that is using a three window video skin (like I am) and he was having similar problems with hardware acceleration
just trying to find out all i can. thanks for your continued support
Michael

Make sure you are using a skin that matches your computer resolution and also make sure VDJ is not running maximized, this will cause issues
