ok guys short and sweet.
couple months ago i updated library within mac ie artists title ect.week later all gone.
so last nite had a thought.delete all files on mac.copied .xml file from my pc version (main laptop for work) and saved a copy to vdj in mac.
then re copied all music back onto my mac and added to vdj db.
whola all info ther im so happy as now my back up (mac) has exactly same info as pc for gigs.
dont know if this will help anyone thought id share
