hello to those reading this,
i have recently decided to try to make/mix music by becoming a dj. For some reason I came up DJ Moderne. I have no idea what it means but its sounds cool to me. After messing around on VD(virtual dj) i try making to official mixes which i think are descent but still a bit crappy. I have no decks or turntables so im limited on what i can do and what i know. if you want you can listen to my mixes and give me some feedback. hate it, like it...send whatever. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CKmfazNdCTk

Hi DJ Moderne,
Like you, I'm also new to mixing and using VDJ. All I have right now is my faithful computer and nothing else! I enjoyed your mix quite a lot! I'm sorry I'm not able to give you any pro advice, but from what I can tell, the transitions were seamless and the energy was consistent throughout the set (my foot never stopped tapping to the beat!). Can I ask how you mixed some of the tracks together? Are you simply cueing up the next tracking, syncing the BMP and slowing bringing up the volume until you're in full swing? Or are you doing anything more than that? Also, I couldn’t tell from the mix, but did you do any ticks in your mix? (Like adjusting the cross fader EQ or adding samples?)

thanks dude. I use use the crossfade EQ to tranfer the bass track to the other and use regular track crossfader to shift the whole song to the other. I did that about 3 or 4 times throught the mix. sorry if im unclear. Let me know if you need help with anything and i will try my best to help. I learned transition from watching DJ Ravines mixes on youtube. He's realy good.

Yes!! I've been watching his vid's quite a lot! He's wonderful and has helped me greatly! So far, the community has been very helpful and I'm proud to be amongst you all, exchanging ideas and tricks of the trade! :)
Thanks for the info about the EQ! I finally feel as though I'm getting to a good comfort level with VDJ!
