Yep, the mic is not working with only VDJ open.

With Itch open, supposedly some people are able to go into the settings menu on Itch and then Minimise it and open VDJ, to have the best of both. Interesting point on the NSFX, it does make sense that Itch would grab it first.

I was not able to use them in this manor and just choose to wait it out. Even when I did test the mic in Itch, it had such a delay that I would not use it live like that. I finally broke down and added an external mixer to my setup.

This will be functioning in version 7 :), just a matter of time guys.

Do you know this for a fact? I have read a few things that seem to hint to "mic improvements" but nothing controller specific. It looks like effects will now be able to apply to the Mic, etc. So maybe now the mic routes through the software.

Always struck me funny that Numark has Cue (which is VDJ) yet the Numark NS7 was not supported completely (in very few ways, still today). Even more odd, I heard somebody from VDJ admit that there was some engineering data that VDJ was not privy to. Just seems like Serato "bullying" the industry, which makes me respect them even less. Technology should be empowering and embraced, not used as exclusivity to railroad the industry into a single solution.

I just got my NS7 and PURCHASED... my Pro version last week for Virtual 7... My mic and aux never worked. even when I installed itch.. it just didn't work and it's about 2 months from the original posting about the mic issue... any word?

Ensure you have the mic option on

Config -> Inputs -> Microphone

Cheers!!!

My mic works fine, so I can confirm that it is working in VDJ version 7.01. Not working for you in Itich for you is my concern, which is why I am going to ask this question (forgive me for asking a stupid one).

Have you slid the Mic/Aux port switch to on? (move it to the right)

Also make sure the main volume is up as well as the Mic/Aux port volume is about 3/4 of the way up.

If the NS7 is connected to a running PC, that port only works if Itch or VDJ is running (not just installed). OR the USB cable is unplugged from your PC. I say this because you could also unplug your USB cable and try the Mic/Aux port with the NS7 in stand alone mode (no USB connection).
