Topic: Random xponent issues with VDJ

Dieses Thema ist veraltet und kann veraltete oder falsche Informationen enthalten.

Hey guys so I am having a couple problems here. I run the Xponent with VDJ and I repeatedly get several problems when I am DJing. The other night during a gig the right play/pause button stop working entirely both on the xponent and VDJ (couldn't click play to start a song on the VDJ interface) and I do not know which one has the problem. The only solution was I had to shut off the xponent entirely and reboot VDJ. I have had several issues with the xponent's headphone slot (as its quite loose and as a result i get disortion in my phones) which is probably something I should have checked out. Any ideas of what could be the problem? Or has anyone had similar issues? I am concerned cause an idiot spilled a drink on my xponent awhile back but I cleaned it up fine and hadn't had too many issues until recently. As of now, I'm running it at a gig with probably a 90% reliability, which really isnt acceptable.
Thanks!

I have been using Xponent for about 2 1/2 years and have used 4 of them, all having the same problems that relate to your issues here. Every single Xponent that i have used has had power issues. The power packs are defective and that is the main problem that many people here are having. The power hits peaks and lows. The lows (drops in power) cause the drivers to malfunction when it drops too low, which happens often since the power packs that they supply have weak wires that seem to not handle the fluctuations in the current. I would suggest getting a better adapter than the one they supply and getting a good power conditioner to all that use the Xponent. I have had the same problem when using all of them with Torq, VDJ, Mapped to Serato, and even PCDJ.
Maybe your Headphones are not gettign a solid connection either. Try tightening the head or cleaning it.

Thanks for your help! As the play/pause button works fine now! For some reason I get this other strange issue as well. If I am mixing in a private room with just my laptop and speaker system, the xponent runs forever. However if I am at a gig where there are a ton of lights and high powered speakers the xponent sometimes cuts out- it doesn't turn off just a quick power surge which cuts the audio (could be the low your talking about)...the trigger is usually a switch on a power switch box but it still happens even if the power switch is plugged into a different outlet. I took your advice and bought a new power adapter but still the same issues! Any more ideas? I have a repair warranty and I may send it in to get looked at.
