I have Macbook Pro and it has one plug that I can either plugin my headphones or my speakers. I have a plug that makes that one plug to so i have both connected but when I load both sides I can here two sides, like when I wanna prepare a song to be mixed, I can hear both speakers, but I want to hear only the song on the left side. Must I have only one speaker or there is a way to configure that when I want to preview and prepare a song to be mixed on either sides I can hear them in speakers and not in speakers? Also, I am a very beginner and what speakers and headphones would you recommend? Thanks alot!

Get a audio interface it will let you hook up what you want the right way. You can even hook up a mixer to the interface and then from there its unlimited what you can hook up. You can get audio interface starting at $50.00 and up I have a djio and love it.
