Sorry for posting in the wrong forum.
I just have a question about loading time using VDJ 7.
Database is version 6. Wanted to convert to VDJ 7 database and see how I can load videos the way they did when using vdj 6.
Thanks again for changing the way we DJ.

There are no database changes in v7. The database is still the same (v6). It just has a few more fields added.
In other words you don't need and you CAN'T convert it to v7 since it doesn't exist.
For your slow video loading issue someone else should chime in to help you more though! :)

Thanks for clarifying.
I was wondering if this was an Win XP issue. Maybe I need to upgrade to win 7.
The audio tracks load fast. The video tracks load very slowly.

Download the registry tool and see if enabling speedload speeds up your loading.

Thanks.
I will try it and report back.

UPDATE:
That did NOT solve the slow loading of video issue. Maybe I need a quad core or win 7?
I'll stick with version 6 until I update my OS to win 7 and I upgrade my motherboard, chip, and ram.
I've been using VDJ long enough to know that hardware is just as important as the software.
Version 6 is working well with my current system.
Thanks for the help.

I use windows 7 64 bit and have the same issue with slow load.

I use Windows 7 32 bit. 38 seconds to load a vob file on Virtual DJ 7, same vob file (232mb) takes 8 seconds on 6.1.2

I aslo have some 25 min megamix videos that will not load all the way on VDJ 7. They load on 6 just fine.

Thanks for your input.
This is great news because I know that the team will look at this issue and more than likely issue a fix in the future.
The VDJ team has always listened to their customers.

I enabled speedload, but loading time is just the same. Taking approx. 4 times longer to load a video on 7 than 6.1.2

Me three. Same issue.

Using the registry tool did not and probably will NOT solve the problem.
I've seen this before with previous versions. It was fixed with some versions and I also saw better performance after I upgraded my system.
I'm confident that this will be fixed.

Maybe both of these threads could be merged:

Having same issue here. It seems to be mainly with VOB files.

Same w/ me. V7 on W7. MP4 does the 'herky jerky' and both MP4 (from Top Hits) and VOB takes forever to load.

Hey, seems to be a few people experiencing minor problems with this. Can any teamers confirm they're aware of it and are looking into it?
Thank You kindly :o)
