Topic: VD7 incompatible with Aero Desktop

Dieses Thema ist veraltet und kann veraltete oder falsche Informationen enthalten.

It looks like this bug is stll prevelent.

If you are doing full screen video out and you keep switching between windows, eventually, you will end up with a 'ghost' window.

The work around for this is to change your windows desktop theme to Windows Standard (turning off Aero effects)

OH, that is how that happens! I had a video issue a while back and when I was playing with VDJ to get my second screen back, I crashed it.

But, it helps to know why it went white in the first place!

Wow, this issue has been known for over a year and hasn't been fixed?

I just built a new system and discovered that VDJ + Aero equals serious frustration! Sometimes even something like clicking the config button to bring up the settings window causes a frozen ghost window that you can't see... other times launching any simple application or bringing up another application window causes serious freezing for over a minute during which parts of the system and VDJ can be unresponsive.

This is a horrid problem. The obvious way to fix it is to configure VDJ to disable aero when launched... but perhaps this should actually be the default for VDJ until the problem is fixed.

Try pressing ctrl+alt+del when you get the ghost window, then press the cancel button, this works for me if another prog gives me a ghost window.

p.s. i think its a windows bug not a vdj bug as windows does it on its own.
