I'm almost sorry to say that this year was actually pretty boring, No major events or upheavals
Maybe next year will be more fun!

hi Marcel !
well to me 2010 was the best yet for a lot of reasons but i wanted you and everybody
to talk about the triumphs big and small and the great moments from this past year if you like
in your case , i thought your mobil biz was expanding swiftly , and you might go full time as a dj ??
so you could talk about that ....
cool new discoveries , funny bits from here at the forum ......of which there are always far more than
a few .....

For me, was organising the free Firetext plugin for the users of VDJ, the downside, some haven't tried it or won't even acknowledge it.... go figure. (over 5000 have though)
But future developments already underway for it make me smile... now go figure that one, lol.

2010 Goodies - added plenty of new & used gear this year.
Used Peavey PR15's, my franken-sub, used Dell lappy picked up on ebay, VDJ7 and all it brings, and a MixTrack Pro.
Sorry, I've shamelessly pimped this controller in every thread I've seen that mentions controllers.
Should be spinning on VirtualDJ Radio in the near future. Great community on the radio site.
Santa is bringing me a new spandex projection screen from Global Truss.
2010 Not-So-Goodies - my father passed away on New Year's Eve 2009, so I've spent much of this year closing his estate and dealing with greedy family members.
Torn ACL and surgery to repair the ACL. Recovering nicely, thank you. : )
Here's to a great 2011!!!

2010 was the year i started for real again. supporting a local cover band on there gigs. warming up the crowd and keeping them warm when the band is resting between the sets. and money spent on a deejay trim

hi Jensen ....
are you saying you did this before and stopped for awhile ?
i used to be involved with some cover bands , but not as a DJ
i would do sound , or be a fill in drummer
that's an interesting gig

@Chuck
I was djing in the mid 90's after some years i started building car audio instead but the DJ times where never forgoten. I did some small gigs 2008 and 2009 but now supporting the band i have lots to do. A few more gigs and a copy of VDJ Pro 7 will be mine :)

This year I went back to 1200s - woot!!! Timecoded to vdj7 of course.
Huge negative was one of my best mates dying suddenly and unexpectedly of a stroke.
Did make me think of life priorities in a different way though and decided since I could kick the bucket at any moment why waste my life in a job I dont really enjoy helping others to get rich. So now I have left my day job and am doing things for myself - the djing of course, and starting to get my own business established doing POS and EFTPOS and computer repairs (my day job for many years). Not entirely sure how I will pay the rent next month yet, but at least I wake up now with a smile on my face and not stressing about the day that lies ahead.

Every year I further develop my system, this year has been no exception, after spending sometime away from my gear due to being abroad on a mission I made up for it even more so by putting more time and money into it than ever before.
I'm pleased with where I'm at, at the mo! most emposis has been on my PA nowadays, trying to get that club sound from a system you can comfatable fit into the back of a swb transit van or making a powerfulish system from half of it so that it fits into my estate car for the smaller gigs (shock horrar)
2011 should be a better year as I'm looking to work on the fun side of it, i.e. the controler/mixer side as I should be happy with the PA.
I would also like to thank Tayla for his support.

For me the biggest things this year this far have been, getting my PRO license, joining this allmighty forum and finally representing VDJ @ MIDI FIGHT CLUB in Berlin,Germany in the club Tresor. It was a djtechtools event, and all the dj´s used Traktor or Ableton except me. DJ´s such as DMC Champion Shiftee, Boys Noise´s Strip Steve, Restricted Sessions and more. I had a blast, and the next MFC is in the making. It will happen in Miami,USA. And i will once again rock VDJ proudly. Here´s a small video from the event
peace, respect and one love to all of y´all
