when i listen the next song on my headphones and play a sampler it play on the headphones too it's any way to avoid this... or it just the way it is..?

If your using a mixer with more then 2 channels just assign the samples to there own channel.

Huey's got a cold rite now..illin way too much..lol...huh...you go to advance cofigirations of course,then select a new output there,you should see your other outputs available and sampler on the "Drop Downs" then select...easy.

If you have a 3ch external audio mixer, you will probably need also a 3rd stereo output to route the sampler to the 3rd channel of your mixer.
In order to guide you further, you will have to inform us about the hardware you use.(controller, sound card(s), external mixer, etc)

thanks dj dad this my set up
i used the djio just to be able to listen the next song.the djio is connected to one channel from my mixer (5 channel mixer).and i control VDJ with the total control i only use the mixer for the mic and volume of the music.

So the only available sound card is djiio ? I am afraid there is no output chanel left, so try to use your laptop sound card. Route a cable from yout laptop audio output to one free channel of your mixer and then go to the advanced audio config and add..
Sampler ... Laptop Soundcard ... Output 1&2
This way you will hear the sampler only from the chanel of you rmixer you have chosen.

I don't think that soundcard is gonna work. You need atleast 3 outs. I suppose you could use splitter and try using it in mono mode.......

this works but now there is a distortion in the music:
Master = djio
Headphones= djio
sampler= laptop sound card
the sampler sounds good but the music plays with distortion.

The distortion came out because you're not using anymore the ASIO instead the 2 cards config., in WMD mode.
As per djdad, go to advance config:
Master = djio asio
Headphones= djio asio
sampler= laptop sound card
And if there's still glitches with the audio, you can simply adjust the DJIO asio settings on the DJIO panel.

the way that i do it is pretty easy and its worked perfectly for me
ive got my main line running through my headphone jack from my computer to my speakers. then got an external sound card, and i have my headphones in there. then under the vdj settings, i say that i have a main output and a headphone output, and set the headphones to the 2nd card. then it works perfectly. on my hercules mp3e2 i can select to listen to either track and its independent from the main output

hi guys, right ill try to explain this properly. when i prelisten with headphones to next song on deck 2, is there a way of trying samples with that song on deck 2 without it playing through main song on deck 1.

Yes send the sampler output to deck 2, sampler options.
Or any deck other than 1 with pfl on and the upfader closed.
