Hi. I bought the numark mixtrack a few months ago and so far I've been doing fine with the included Traktor software, but I want to upgrade to VDJ. I was wondering if anybody has a working map for the mixtrack? I searched but found nothing.
EDIT: Oh I realize that mixtrack works with VDJ out of the box, but the default mapping sucks. Looping is terrible, random LED's turn on and off, etc.

Its built into the latest pro version :-)
You can test it out in the home edition for 10 minutes.

One of the beauties of VDJ PRO is that if you don't like the mapping of a given controller, you can re-map it to suit your own preferences.

@sky. I realize that, but I tried it out at my buddy's house and like I said it doesn't work well. The LED's don't light up properly. The loop section is "clunky" and the jog wheel/crossfader doesn't feel as high resolution as in Traktor, but I'm not sure if that's because of the software or not.

Hello
Ok, so I purchased the VDJ 7 Pro basic and it won't work with my mixtrack but if I download the home free version it works perfectly but for only 10 mins. Does something seem wrong here??? I've looked for downloads but cannot find anything that will help. If this is true then I just wasted $100 bucks for software that I won't use.

@DMFERD
You cannot use a controller with pro basic, to use a controller you have to purchase pro full.

Sorry, VirtualDJ Pro Basic does not support MIDI controllers. It is for mixing using your mouse and keyboard only.
This is clearly stated on the product purchase page http://www.virtualdj.com/products/basic.html and the product comparison page http://www.virtualdj.com/products/comparison.html
To use external controllers, you will need to upgrade to VirtualDJ Professional at a discount: http://www.virtualdj.com/buy/index.html
For further advice, please contact support: http://www.virtualdj.com/contact/index.html

It's a bit annoying how they supply you with virtual dj le but it wont work for the mixtrack that it was supplied for >:(
I'm considering Traktor Duo 1 because it's cheap!

VirtualDJ LE for MixTrack works fine for most users. Please open a new topic with further details about what problems you are having and we will help you resolve them, or for faster help, please contact support: http://www.virtualdj.com/contact/index.html
NOTE: This is an old topic from 2010 that was hi-jacked by another user trying to use MixTrack with VirtualDJ Basic, which does not support MIDI controllers, so I am closing it.
